I came to Sri Lanka from New Zealand after 18 years. I felt almost like a foreigner in my own country, not knowing many things about the country and how society had changed. Luckily, I got a real professional person as my driver throughout my journey, Dan from Golden Trails. Without him, my journey would not have been such a memorable one. The word “driver” is the wrong word for the level of professional service he offered me. I would say he was my friend and brother throughout the journey. He was always polite and respectful. With him around, there are many things you do not have to worry about. Safety, comfort, and accountability — you will feel all these qualities when you travel with Dan, which means you can enjoy your trip 100%. We went to Kataragama and a few other places in Sri Lanka. He helped us like a family member, thinking ahead and avoiding unnecessary problems even before we were aware of them. Apart from moving us safely, Dan was also my photographer and guide. Without his awareness, I may have forgotten my spectacles in many places. He is a very knowledgeable and well-educated person who can fluently use both Sinhala and English, which is very impressive. I know there are 5-star hotels, but if there are 5-star private drivers, Dan is definitely one of them. Thanks, Dan.
